Hi Everyone! It's that time of year again!

Please join me and my family as we celebrate life. Born at 31 weeks and weighing only 3 lbs 1/2 oz, I have come along way. Now 13 years old and healthy (except for asthma) I have been working with the March of Dimes for the last 3 1/2 years. I used the March of Dimes for my first three years of life and they helped me become the great kid I am today! I am currently in 8th grade, a straight A high honors student, competitive dancer, and participate in many school activities and extracurricular activities. I am currently the reigning Miss Westbury's Outstanding Teen 2010 for the Miss CT/America Organization and will be competing for Connecticut's Outstanding Teen in June. In the past 3 1/2 years I have raised just over $5,000 with everyone's help(2009 named me as Top Youth Walker for Central CT and we were Top Family Team-let's keep it going!) We had a great walk team last year and look forward to everyone joining us again this year! And my famous March Of Dimes Talent Show this year, it will be June 13, 2010 at 4pm. So please help me in my Fight for Preemies-One Baby Step at a Time!
Visit my website: www.marchforbabies.com/chrissyanna

I would also love if any of you would walk with me and our ever growing team! Please consider walking-April 25, 2010 registration 9am-Walnut Hill Park, New Britain! Cost would be $10.00 (or more if you'd like) you could register online at the above website or at the walk!!
Thank you for your love and support,

Thank you to Miss Connecticut's Outstanding Teen, Acacia Courtney, and all of the local titleholders who were able to join Miss Connecticut this past weekend at the Mall Madness Girl Scout celebration! You were all beautiful and gracious, and represented our organization with great pride. They were blown away by your talents, and are looking forward to having us participate again next year!

Thank you also to the families, Moms and Dads, EDs and Business Managers who supported the appearance and helped to make it a great experience for everyone involved.

Bravo! xo

To the Miss Connecticut Organization:
Many of you know that Jaine LeFebvre and her family has suffered a terrible loss this week. Jaine's father Walter Truex passed away Tuesday at the age of 81. Jaine's father fell Monday morning and passed away 24 hours later. Jaine, Chris, Jaine' Coann and TJ are in Oklahoma at this time, as the service is today. Jaine doesn't have internet access at her mother's home but asked me to pass along how much she appreciates all the kind words, phone calls, beautiful flowers and text messages from her friends in the Miss Connecticut Organization. If anyone would like to post a message for the family through the funeral home, the web-site is Grayfuneral.com
The Funeral arrangements are through Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home in Lawton, Oklahoma.
Thank you for your kindness,

Sincerely,
Linda Butemeyer (Jaine's best friend for 40 years)

Family & Children's Aid operates under a commitment that children are society's most valuable assets. Founded in 1809, the agency has been a refuge for abused and neglected children who are without protection, without parental support and without - tragically -hope. More than just offering the basic human rights of food, clothing and shelter, FCA strives to heal and support Connecticut's children and families by meeting a higher level of need, teaching them about respect, compassion
and trust. FCA currently operates six neighborhood-style group home programs
with 60 beds serving Connecticut's neediest children. In additional, FCA
offers outpatient programs, in-home services and a summer camp for the
children in our homes. Family and Children s Aid, Inc. (FCA) believes that
seeking help is a sign of strength. We believe that excellent care should be
available to individuals and families in all walks of life, throughout their
life span and without discrimination. Our driving force and motto since
inception: For Every Child, a Home.

Hello Folks,<br />
Stanley asked me to post information about Luis on the guestbook. He is now resting comfortably at Gaylord, a rehabilitation facility in Wallingford. On Feb. 25, he had surgery to remove a tumor. The doctors say they got everything, and there is no need for radiation treatment. Luis is now receiving OT, PT and Speech Therapy and will be at Gaylord for about two weeks. His speech is coming back slowly and doctors are thrilled with the outcome and his progress. He is getting stronger daily. Cards and encouragements can be sent to him at: Luis Pabon, Hooker 218 Gaylord Hospital P.O. Box 400 Wallingford, CT 06492.

I have auditioned for UConn's Idol on March 1, 2010 and top ten is based on a voting system. Top ten will compete at the Jorgenson on April 15, 2010, and the top prize is 5 hours at a recording studio!! I wouldn't be able to afford this by myself, so this is an incredible opportunity for me! Please vote for me on the SUBog website so I can try to attain this! You can hear mine, and all the other auditions on this website too!!

The auditions will be on the UCTV website by tomorrow, and I will know if I have made finals on Friday. I am asking for my Miss Connecticut Family's help in attaining a long-time dream of recording a demo!

Hello, everyone!
I know that it is a bit early, but before taking on the title of Miss New Haven County I was planning to participate in a walk that the National Alliance on Mental Illness does each year in May. This year it will be on Saturday, May 15, at Bushnell Park in Hartford. Registration is at 9 am, and the walk will begin at 10 am. I would like to extend an invitation to anyone interested. Remember: The rates of depression today are even higher than they were during the Great Depression! If you are interested in participating, please e-mail me for further information.

Thank you so much,
Cassandra Cogan
