Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen Pageant to be held June 25-27 at New Venue, Mohegan Sun Cabaret Theater
Southington, Conn. June 15, 2015 – Young women from around the state will vie for the Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen crowns and thousands in scholarship dollars at Mohegan Sun Cabaret Theater during four competition events June 25-27. The star-studded shows will include special guest, Miss America’s Outstanding Teen, Olivia McMillan, and will be emceed by Miss Connecticut 2006 and NBC Connecticut reporter, Heidi Voight, and NBC Connecticut political reporter, Max Reiss.
Twenty contestants will compete in the Teen division, with the final competition and crowning of a new Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen on June 27 at the 2 p.m. show. Thirteen contestants will compete in the Miss division, with the final competition and crowning of a new Miss Connecticut on June 27 at the 8 p.m. show. Teen pageant prelims will be held June 25 at 7:30 p.m., and Miss pageant prelims will be held June 26 at 7:30 p.m.
Phases of competition for both Miss and Teen contestants include evening gown, fitness, talent, on-stage question and a private interview with the judging panel.
“We have an exceptional group of young women participating in the program this year,” said Gail McCool, Miss Connecticut Scholarship Corporation’s executive director. “These talented and dynamic contestants will truly sparkle on stage at the Mohegan Sun Cabaret Theater, and all four pageant events are sure to entertain.”
Broadway and television performer Billy Griffin is returning as show choreographer for the eighth time and will serve as co-producer for the first time, bringing his sophisticated and engaging theatrical style to the nearly 400-seat theater located inside Mohegan Sun.
The contestant crowned Miss Connecticut 2015 will compete in Atlantic City for the title of Miss America in September, and the winner of the Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen 2015 crown will compete in the Miss America’s Outstanding Teen pageant in Orlando, Fl. in August.
Tickets for the 2015 Miss Connecticut and Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen Pageant are now on sale. Admission is open to the public and tickets can be purchased by downloading the ticket form from the Miss Connecticut website, www.missctamerica.org. Payments for tickets can be made by cash, via PayPal, or via credit card. Ticket pre-sale ends June 19. After June 19, tickets will only be available at the door, prior to each show, on a first-come, first-served basis.

The Miss Connecticut Gala, an annual fundraiser open to the public, will kick off the week’s events June 19 at 6 p.m. at the Aqua Turf Club in Plantsville.
